The Assistant Purchasing will support the Purchasing Manager in overseeing our company’s procurement operations. Your contributions will be critical in maintaining cost-effective procurement strategies and developing relationships with suppliers to ensure the quality and timely delivery of goods.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist the Purchasing Manager in developing and executing the company’s procurement strategy.
- Conduct market research to identify pricing trends and product availability, ensuring the best deals.
- Help manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to optimize value.
- Support inventory management and coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure proper stock levels.
- Monitor and report on key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes in balance in buyer-supplier power.
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
- Assist in implementing internal procurement strategies to cater to high delivery and short lead times.
- Manage the order placement process, verify purchase orders, and maintain necessary records.
