Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As a Procurement Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement process for our organization. You will work closely with various departments to ensure that all procurement activities are carried out efficiently and effectively, in line with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the organization's objectives.
  2. Identify potential suppliers and maintain a strong network of contacts in the industry.
  3. Evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  4. Conduct market research to identify trends and pricing, and make recommendations for cost savings and process improvements.
  5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
  6. Prepare and review purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  7. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
  8. Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and make recommendations for improvements to procurement processes.
  10. Provide guidance and support to junior procurement staff.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the engineering or construction industry.
  2. Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  3. Strong knowledge of procurement principles and practices.
  4. Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  5. Ability to analyze and interpret data and make informed decisions.
  6. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
  10. Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations and standards.
