General Description of the Programme:

 

SENED is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit organization licensed and registered in Türkiye with the number 27-15-175. SENED Organization was established shortly after the Syrian Nakba and in response to the suffering of millions of Syrian refugees in Turkey as well as internally displaced people in Syria, to alleviate suffering, achieving justice, equality, and freedom, strengthening the role of civil society, and supporting and developing the local community. SENED works in the humanitarian work sectors to support, empower, and educate the community through several programs, takes exceptional care of people with disabilities and their families and defends their issues.

 

SENED Association emphasizes creating safe, accessible, and participation-encouraging living conditions for individuals' emotional, intellectual, physical, and social development by focusing on people with disabilities. Beyond the medical perspective on disability, it tries to find solutions to the problems faced by disabled people with a holistic perspective by considering the disabled people, their families, and the society they live in, focusing on the conditions they experience. SENED Association aims to create a safe and supportive environment and space by conducting family-oriented activities to help disabled individuals and their families become stronger, discover their potential and stand by with their children. By collecting data on refugee-disabled people and identifying problems and needs, SENED strives to ensure harmony between disabled refugees and local people with a voluntary, professional team and a community-based approach. All activities, education, research, advocacy, etc., are carried out on platforms created by local and disabled refugee people.

 

Job purpose:

 

·      To implement case management & outreach activities for project beneficiaries in Adana, and update service mapping.

Key Activities/Tasks/Duties

 

o  Implement case management services through assessment, case planning, case implementation, follow up and case closure through regular case committee meetings

o  Work with the team in the organization and externally to identify and register individual cases requiring protection intervention in the field and/or through community center visit

o  Implement individual information counselling for beneficiaries during their visits and calls, and fill the pre-post tests

o  Undertaking rapid and detailed assessments of beneficiaries

o  Identify protection cases and follow up until case closure

o  Accompanying beneficiaries for referrals etc. if necessary

o  Supporting the service mapping and keeping service map updated

o  Attend coordination meetings with other organizations

o  Reporting and assisting Case Management Officer for project reports

o  Support to record registered cases in the database in a timely manner and update information as necessary and ensure that progress is updated in the database

o  Ensuring accurate, timely and secure data entry of all the cases and maintain highly organized CM hard copy files

o  Implementation of outreach for information dissemination regular and innovative ways

o  Support and promote the standards outlined in the Code of Conduct and associated policies to project team

o  Representing organization when needed professionally

o  Perform any other tasks related to the program when required

 

Note: the above mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities /accountability may be assigned to the job depending on the department organizational chart.

 

Required Qualifications (Education/Languages/Work Experience)

 

A.  Essential:

§  Bachelor Degree in Education, Psychology, or any other relevant field.

§  Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in a similar position.

§  Fluent in the Arabic and Turkish language.

B.  Desirable

§  Intermediate level in the English languages

§  Experience working with Persons Living with Disabilities

§  Experience in humanitarian work and principles
