Job Announcement

The Orphans Care Federation (OCF) is looking to enhance its team by recruiting a Training and Capacity Building Officer.

About the OCF: The federation brings together non-governmental humanitarian organizations specialized in orphan care, aiming to achieve a better life and a healthy environment for the well-being and protection of orphans and their families.

General Purpose of the Job: The Officer of the Training and Capacity Building Department is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and programs aimed at enhancing the capacities of institutions that care for orphans and developing the skills of their staff. This role involves preparing training material, contributing to the design of training kits, executing training projects, and organizing a series of specialized lectures and seminars held by the federation to improve the quality of life for orphans and advocate for improving the quality of services provided to them.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop knowledge guides, training kits, and training programs targeting skill enhancement for those working with orphans and their families, enhancing communication with the public, and increasing awareness of orphan issues and the importance of their support.
  • Manage and coordinate training programs, workshops, and events in cooperation with internal teams, volunteers, and external partners.
  • Form an advisory committee of experts to monitor the department's activities and its effectiveness in lectures, seminars, and conferences, ensuring organized and ongoing coordination.
  • Prepare for and oversee the full execution of seminars and lectures (in-person or remote), coordinating with the advisory committee, experts, and participants.
  • Prepare regular reports on program progress, evaluate outcomes, and analyze data for strategic decision-making.
  • Build strategic partnerships with other organizations and entities in training, capacity building, and community awareness of orphan rights and care.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Educational Qualifications: Master’s degree in social sciences, Psychology, Social Work, Humanitarian Work, or related fields.

Languages: Arabic: Fluent - English: upper-Intermediate (B2) - Turkish: Intermediate (B1).

 

Required Experience:

  • Minimum experience of 5 years in the field of philanthropy and humanitarian work (including 3 years in training and capacity building).
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in using office software and IT tools.
