As the HR Coordinator in the Syrian Forum in Istanbul office, the primary objective is to spearhead the development, direction, and coordination of all HR activities relations, training and development, and responsibilities, including but not limited to recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, labor relations, training and development, and performance management. The role is pivotal in ensuring the effective functioning of our human resources processes, contributing directly to our workforce's overall success and well-being."

Human Resources:
- HR Strategy
- Assist in regularly reviewing and rolling HR policies, employment policies, and procedures in compliance with Syrian Forum’s standards and evolving national labor law.
- Assist in developing staffing and recruitment plans to ensure that each team is staffed efficiently and timely according to need and funding availability.
- Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies and procedures across the Syrian Forum.
- Recruitment & Selection
- Ensure staff hiring is conducted efficiently and in compliance with Syrian Forum policies and national labor law.
- Ensure a transparent, timely, and efficient recruitment process.
- Ensure pre-employment requirements are submitted and personnel files with documentation according to the HR checklist are opened for new staff on a timely basis.
- Ensure that all staff have undergone onboarding orientation and training.
- Compensation & Benefits
- Ensure timely and efficient payroll preparation for accurate data on donor code, number of days, and benefits.
- Ensure the proper and accurate tracking of leave.
- oversee the periodic salary review and analysis and review and revise the new salary structure as appropriate.
- Employee Relations
- Ensure the timely processing of new contracts, contract extensions, staff transfers, promotions, and other changes of status.
- Manage processes related to disciplinary actions, staff separation, and termination.
- Respond to employee-related queries and provide services to all HR-related inquiries and requests.
- Keep the Syrian Forum Team Member Guide updated and communicate it and other HR policies to staff.
- Make Ensure employees’ files are auditable per Syrian Forum standards and any relevant donors’ requirements.
- Without Respect apply all the PSEA principles and Child safeguarding, and show high commitment to report any SEA, Harassment, and CSG actions.
- Training & Development
- Lead building the annual training and development plan per Syrian Forum training and development SOP’s.
- Oversee training and capacity building/development projects.
- Coordinate technical and general training initiatives that enhance staff core, common, managerial, and technical competencies.
- Review annual training and development reports to ensure ATP and IDP achieved their objectives.
- Performance Management System
- Build, review, and enhance Syrian Forum PMS.
- Write PMS reports based on the performance management cycle implemented at Syrian Forum (performance objective agreement, performance assessment, and performance review.)
- Enhance the Syrian Forum management team’s on how to conduct and track evaluation processes properly.
- Ensure HR staff maintains required databases to track probation and annual evaluations.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)

Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR, or related fields.
- Three years of HR experience.
- Very Good level in English and Arabic.

Desirable:
- MBA or master’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or related fields.
- More than five years of experience in HR.
- Advanced level of both English, Arabic, and Turkish is a plus.
