About MUZUN:

Muzun for Humanitarian & Development (MHD) is a civil society and Non-for -profit organization registered in Turkey, Gaziantep since 2015.

The NGO was founded by professional humanitarian workers engaged in the Syria response. We come from the communities affected by the conflict. We have set up this organization in order to support fellow Syrians with relief and non-relief assistance to maintain their under-pressured resilience and help them cope with the challenging conflict environment. In our work we focus on the most vulnerable including persons with special needs, children and women. As a grassroots organization, our work is community-led and therefore owned and sustainable. We have presence across Syria. MHD operates in Syria’s Northwest.

Providing humanitarian and developmental services and assistance to the most vulnerable communities of displaced people and residents inside Syria and neighboring countries, men, women, and children to reach a Syrian civil society capable of facing the circumstances and involving them in the decision-making process and influence in its.

About this position:

The Project manager will operate under the supervision of the Programs Manager and collaborate with the CCCM focal point for the initiation, ongoing management, and continuous enhancement of daily activities within MHD’s CCCM Project.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Planning:

  • Collaborate closely with the Programs Manager to prepare the work plan for the CCCM- project activities and oversee the field team.
  • Participate in developing the overall CCCM Activates strategy, systems, approaches, tools, and materials.

Project Follow-up

  • Ensure project objectives are achieved in accordance with work plan deadlines and confirm that the project is adequately resourced for effective programming
  • Monitor project activities according to the timeline to ensure timely delivery of information and reports, and ensure the project implementation is overseen and managed, taking into account technical quality and standards.
  • Ensure that MHD delivers services of high quality, meeting MHD Policies, and other international standards.
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks and trouble-shoot any unforeseen challenges during the project implementation.
  • Review budget utilization and physical target achievement at least once a month according to the work plan.
  • Attend CCCM cluster meeting and ensure share monthly 4W information are shared within CCCM Cluster and Muzun CCCM team.
  • Participate in the preparation of weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Ensure project implementation is on time, target and budget, using effective monitoring systems to reach desired impacts.
  • Ensure lessons learned are documented, shared, and reflected in project planning and decision making.
  • Ensuring the provision of accountability mechanisms towards beneficiaries and providing reporting and communication mechanisms for beneficiaries of project activities.
  • Provide regular and timely updates on progress and challenges to supervisors and other team members.

Finance, Logistics and HR:

  • Forecast monthly cash requirements of the project and submit to Programs and Finance Managers.
  • Preparing purchase requests with the BOQs according to MHD organization logistic policies in a timely manner
  • Assist with quality checks and procurement committees to finalize the selection of suppliers based on relevant scenarios.
  • Confirm the quality of material selection, if applicable.
  • Participate in project staff recruitment, including developing and reviewing tests, conducting interviews, and elaborating on Terms of Reference (ToRs).
  • Manage interpersonal conflicts.
  • Ensure capacity building for project staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or any related field
  2. Experience (1-3 years) with I/NGOs in terms of Humanitarian Response and other Interventions.
  3. CCCM/Wash/NFI/Shelter with minimum one year experience.
  4. Required English language upper intermediate, Arabic is a must
  5. Experience working in dynamic, insecure environments and with local communities.
  6. Ability function at a high capacity within a collaborative organizational structure.
  7. Understanding of the political and cultural context in Syria.
  8. Maintain high confidentiality
