Job Description:

Ø  Implement individual and group MHPSS activities, awareness raising sessions and informative meetings and report monthly to Community Center Manager.

Ø  Ensure the implementation of all Psychosocial Support standard protocols and methodologies.

Ø  Carry out the necessary follow-ups, including internal and external referrals.

Ø  Supervise and ensure that mental health and psychosocial support activities (inside and outside the Community Center), with the beneficiaries are performed with regular follow-up and according to all protocols and standards in order to provide the most appropriate support for beneficiaries with psychosocial problems.

Ø  Review and develop the technical material, tools, guidelines, and documents elaborated for the mental health and psychosocial activities to develop appropriate support for beneficiaries.

Ø  Practice and optimize outcomes for MHPSS beneficiaries accessing services.

Ø  Address issues related to ethical, professional considerations and best practices through group and/or individual supervision sessions.

Ø  Promote self-care and staff-care practices and processes

Ø  Build the capacity of MHPSS staff in promoting and strengthening community psychosocial support skills.

Ø  Facilitate coordination between different actors to avoid duplication, address obstacles and fill gaps in the response based on the MHPSS and relevant assessments.

Ø  Provide mental health and psychosocial support service through individual and group sessions to parents/caregivers and children.

Ø  Follow up-to-date DSM and apply internationally accepted structured psychological tests; Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), Intellectual Development Inventory (IDI), Rathus Assertiveness Schedule (RAS), The Child Adolescence Bullying Scale (CABS).

Ø  Directly work with refugees: being a part of psychosocial support team with refugee children.

Ø  Taking part in the implementation at different levels such as carrying out the assessment during the intake process; scheduling the sessions/activities; evaluating the impact of the interventions; developing new activities as a member of the clinical team.

Ø  Cooperation with other organizations: as being a member of foundation, when assigned, Clinical Psychologist will be joining meetings with other organizations. In addition to this, S/he is expected to be improving her/himself and new projects for the foundation related with MHPSS intervention.

Ø  Assess and provide online psychological counselling service to beneficiaries of the service; actively participating in supervision sessions, professional development, in-service training and team processes, when needed.

Qualifications and Experience and Attributes

Ø  BA in Psychology, MA in Clinical Psychology

Ø  Fluency in Turkish, fluency in English is an asset, fluency in Arabis is preferred.

Ø  Minimum 1 year experience in working with children, trauma, loss, refugees and/or other vulnerable groups of people

Ø  Minimum 1 year experience in group work as well as individual therapy/counselling

Ø  Experience in field work with NGOs

Ø  Experience of cross-cultural work

Ø  Ability to be flexible, work in a fluid context and adaptation for unexpected situations

Ø  Flexibility of working of out of office hours

Ø  Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively with others

Ø  Communication skills: negotiating, facilitating, and presenting as well as strong verbal and written communication skills

Ø  Time management, organization, and work prioritization

Ø  Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills

Ø  Work overtime when required collaborative and cooperative with other related departments

Ø  Must have a Turkish Citizenship
