About Maya Vakfı:
Maya Vakfı is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing mental health and psycho-social support (MHPSS) to refugee and host community children who have endured traumatic life events, such as challenging socio-economic conditions, domestic abuse, immigration due to war, or the loss of loved ones to violence. At our Balat Field Office, we offer trauma rehabilitation activities for children through creative workshops, allowing them to express themselves through art, music, dance, and movement, aiding in their recovery. Additionally, Maya Vakfı focuses on integrating Psychosocial Support techniques into the education system through its Trauma-Informed Schools Program. We enhance the knowledge and expertise of civil servants and the civil society sector through Capacity Building Initiatives. Lastly, our Volunteer Program provides training, support, and mentoring to volunteers on Psychosocial Support, trauma rehabilitation, and child protection.
