Job Description

About the Role

* The Sr. Planner will apply project management and planning tools and techniques to ensure that the project finish date and milestones are successfully achieved. 


What you will be doing

* Analyze contractor schedules and evaluate claims, EOTs, and recovery programs.
* Assist in the development and review of project control procedures and systems.
* Attend progress meetings and provide expert planning input to project stakeholders.
* Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to ensure schedule compliance.
* Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using planning software and tools.
* Ensure planning activities are compliant with contractual requirements and international best practices.
* Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule and flag delays or risks proactively. Recommend areas of improvement.
* Prepare and present weekly/monthly progress reports and dashboards.
* Support the site supervision team in resolving planning and scheduling issues.

Required Experience

* Over 10 years experience in planning and scheduling or as required by related construction supervision agreement. 
* Experience having worked with reputable engineering firms, preferably consulting firms within the industry. 
Knowledge and practical experience of working with Primavera. 


Education

* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. 


Certifications & Memberships

* Additional training courses, professional and personal development with membership to professional groups, societies or institutes, desired.
* Certification from Saudi Society of Engineers or local equivalent based on country requirement.

Essential Skills

* Proficiency in Planning software and tools (Primavera, MS Project and advanced Excel).
* Solid understanding of FIDIC contracts, project lifecycles, and construction methodologies.
* Familiar with claim analysis, EOT assessments, and dispute resolution support.
* Software skills with microsoft office. 
* Excellent communication skills and presentation skills.
* Compilation of various project reports as directed by management from time to time.
* Client focussed, providing advice and services. 
* Works well in a team with a collaborative approach. 
* Detail minded, thorough and systematic in their approach to work. 
Fluent in English. Arabic is a plus.
