Job Summary:
Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, installation, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems for desalination and wastewater treatment plants. The role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles and instrumentation technologies, ensuring systems are efficient, reliable, and compliant with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:Design and Development:
Design and develop electrical systems and instrumentation for desalination and wastewater treatment plants.
Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using CAD software.
Select appropriate instrumentation and control systems based on project requirements.
Installation and Commissioning:
Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems.
Ensure all installations comply with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct functional and performance testing of installed systems.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Develop and implement maintenance programs for electrical and instrumentation systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure minimal downtime.
Provide technical support to maintenance teams.
Project Management:
Manage electrical and instrumentation aspects of projects from concept to completion.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and vendors to ensure project milestones are met.
Prepare and review project documentation, including specifications, reports, and procurement documents.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all electrical and instrumentation systems comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Implement and adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Conduct safety audits and inspections of electrical and instrumentation installations.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with the latest technologies and advancements in electrical engineering and instrumentation.
Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in system design, efficiency, and performance.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or Instrumentation Engineering.
Minimum of [10] years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering, preferably in desalination and wastewater treatment projects.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar) and other relevant design tools.
Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to electrical and instrumentation systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
