Job Description

Job Objective


The Product Manager is responsible for managing the product mix and spare parts procurement for the assigned division. This role involves making strategic decisions on product offerings, establishing relationships with suppliers, ensuring product availability, and overseeing inventory management.



Main Tasks


1. Business Strategy, Goals, and Budgeting:

• Develop and execute business strategies to achieve company goals, including market share, revenue, profit, and return on investment for the division.

• Set departmental goals aligned with the company's objectives and ensure adherence to approved budgets.

• Prepare short-term and long-term product sales forecasts, special reports, and analyses to support decision-making processes.

• Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines based on product specifications, market requirements, and customer needs. • Monitor equipment quality throughout the product lifecycle and make recommendations for alternatives if necessary.

• Develop market penetration plans for new products and propose new products for market entry based on thorough analysis.

• Contribute to increasing brand awareness in the market through targeted marketing efforts.


2. Supplier Relationship Management:

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely availability of products and spare parts.

• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive prices, favorable payment terms, credit facilities, and financing options.

• Collaborate with suppliers to achieve product standardization based on customer requirements, weather conditions, and country-specific circumstances.

• Prepare long-term and short-term supplier business plans and coordinate with the Finance Department to ensure timely payment of dues.


3. Operations and Inventory Management:

• Assist in employee recruitment, performance evaluation, promotion, retention, and termination activities within the division.

• Facilitate inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and delivery schedules.


4. Market Research, Product Configuration, Pricing, and Product Marketing:

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer preferences, and buying patterns.

• Gather and analyze data and business intelligence from various sources to make informed decisions and identify business opportunities.

• Configure and standardize products to meet customer needs and geographic requirements.

• Determine product (equipment and spare parts) pricing by utilizing market research data, reviewing costs, and anticipating volume.

5. Team Management:
