Job Description
A leading private sector employer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Public Relations Manager. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in public relations, with a strong track record of managing corporate communication strategies and building positive relationships with media outlets and stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective PR campaigns, managing media relations, and representing the company in public events and conferences.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies and campaigns to enhance the company's reputation and brand image
- Manage media relations, including building and maintaining relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers
- Create and distribute press releases, media kits, and other PR materials
- Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on the company's media presence
- Coordinate and manage public events, press conferences, and product launches
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand representation
- Handle crisis communications and manage corporate reputation in times of negative publicity
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and recommend new strategies to senior management
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry associations, and community leaders
- Manage a team of PR professionals and external agencies
Preferred Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Public Relations Manager or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of media relations and crisis communications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent networking and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to think creatively and strategically
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and PR software
