Job Description
- Perform regular inspections of medium voltage electrical systems and components to identify and rectify potential issues.
- Execute maintenance tasks to ensure the reliable operation of medium voltage equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, and cables.
- Replace worn-out or damaged components, such as insulators and bushings.
- Plan and conduct electrical testing procedures for medium voltage systems, including insulation resistance, partial discharge, and dielectric tests.
- Analyze testing data to assess the condition of medium voltage equipment and identify signs of degradation.
- Interpret testing results and recommend necessary corrective actions.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical malfunctions or failures within medium voltage systems.
- Perform necessary repairs, replacements, or adjustments to restore the functionality of medium voltage equipment.
- Ensure that all repair activities adhere to safety and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for medium voltage electrical systems.
- Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments as needed to minimize wear and tear.
- Identify potential issues and recommend improvements to prevent future failures.
- Adhere to safety protocols, electrical codes, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure that medium voltage electrical systems comply with local and national safety standards.
- Provide safety training and guidance to staff as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, testing results, and repairs related to medium voltage systems.
- Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing the condition and performance of medium voltage equipment.
- Update and maintain documentation and schematics for medium voltage systems.
- Respond to emergency electrical failures or faults within medium voltage systems promptly and efficiently.
- Develop and implement emergency repair procedures to minimize downtime and maintain safety.
- Coordinate with other teams or contractors during emergency situations.
- Identify opportunities for upgrades or improvements to medium voltage electrical systems.
- Collaborate with management to plan and execute projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency, capacity, or safety of medium voltage systems.
