Job Purpose:

An Accountant helps businesses make critical financial decisions by collecting, tracking, and correcting the company's finances. They are responsible for financial audits, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring financial records are accurate throughout the year.

Job Description:

1. Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all financial transactions in accordance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
2. Compliance: Ensure compliance with local financial laws and regulations and keep abreast of changes in financial legislation.
3. Financial Reports: Prepare regular financial reports that include balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
4. Budgeting and forecasting: Helps prepare budgets and financial forecasts, analyze financial trends and performance.
5. Audit support: Facilitates internal and external audits of processes, ensuring availability and accuracy of necessary data.
6. Tax Management: Check tax returns and ensure that tax returns are filed timely and accurately in accordance with local tax laws.
7. Financial analysis: Perform financial analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
8. Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Management: Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, process invoices and ensure prompt receipt of accounts receivable.
9. Cash Management: Oversee cash management strategies including cash flow monitoring and bank reconciliation.
10. Stakeholder communication: effectively communicates financial information to both financial and external stakeholders.
11. Technology Expertise: Proficient in using accounting software and other financial management tools.
12. Continuous Improvement: Look for ways to improve financial processes and efficiency.
13. Team Collaboration and Training: Collaborate with other departments and mentor junior accounting staff as needed.

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
• 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in KSA.
