Duties and Responsibilities
Compile and record medical charts, reports, and correspondence using computer.
Operate office equipment such as voice mail messaging systems, and use word processing, power point and other software applications to prepare reports minutes of meeting, schedule of duty routa official correspondence etc.
Is responsible for the organization, typing, distribution and maintenance of all correspondence, reports, minutes, routas, schedules and records relating to the Family Medicine Department.
Establishes, implements and maintains standardized filing systems within the Family Medicine Department.
Implements computerized systems in accordance with standard hospital practices, as required.
Remains pro-active to the requirements of the Chief of Family Medicine Department.
Provides assistance and training to other staff, as required.
Undertakes rotation and vacation coverage duties.
Participates in TQM activities, including systems control, systems improvement and staff development.
Performs other duties/tasks within the realm of the individual’s knowledge, skills and abilities, as required.
