Undertake field mapping of tunnels / rock slopes including undertaking kinematic analysis, Roof collapse / Planar / Wedge / Toppling failure mechanisms.
Undertake rock mass classification using RMR, GSI, Barton, Q-system, etc.
Be proficient in the construction application of various tunnelling and excavation and support techniques including road headers, mechanical excavation, rock bolting, shotcreting, etc.
Provide specialist advice on construction of rock slopes, tunnels, caverns, and shafts.
Be experienced in technical reviews and construction supervision of temporary and enabling works for tunnels, caverns and shafts.
Provide advice on the monitoring of movements and vibrations associated with excavations in rock.
Resident Engineer duties including review of Method Statements, Material Submittals, WIRs, etc. and undertaking field inspections.
Knowledge of HSE requirements for major underground works.
Actively participate in design and construction meetings with clients, consultants and contractors.
