Duties and Responsibilities

Abide by all related hospital wide policies and procedures, hospital by-laws and those specific to the department.
At all times adhere to the confidentiality code of conduct, protecting patients' rights to privacy.
Carry out routine radiological examinations according to agreed procedures and performs special radiological procedures under supervision of senior/trained staff, Undertake training in the above procedure as required by the department.
Ensure that the X-ray rooms, equipment and department are kept clean and tidy at all times.
Ensure that patients and staff are protected from unnecessary hazards due to radiation. To be responsible at all times for patient and visitor welfare and comfort.
Keep abreast of current developments, new techniques and changes within the radiographic profession.
Respond to and report any equipment faults to a Senior Radiographer with accurate details of malfunction.
Attend briefings and departmental staff meetings.
Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee's knowledge, skills and abilities.
