Governance Excellence - Sports Oversee and define sports governance framework to ensure the proper allocation of responsibilities and authorities across the sports sector.Oversee and define sports governance framework to ensure the proper allocation of responsibilities and authorities across the sports program sector functions in order to achieve proper governance and effective decision-making.Establish, maintain and monitor the governance model of sports entities' including subsidiaries and spinoffs to establish clear accountability and facilitate decision making in the organization's ecosystem.Ensure that policies are streamlined and consistent across the sports executive program.Establish, review, and continuously update Sports Policy Management Framework to provide overall direction for the organization's policy development and ensure consistency across sport executive program.Oversee the enhancing of performance and employee satisfaction by improving the process flows of continuous organizational performance improvement.Contribute to the sector's short-and long term strategy from the Department's perspective in line with overall vision and mission.Develop the Department's strategy, objectives, and KPIs annual operational plans and ensure plan execution is meeting the targets.Prepare and submit the Department's annual budget for approval taking all planned activities and necessary investments into consideration by monitoring the financial performance.Oversee the development, maintenance, implementation and adherence of the department policies and procedures as well as the overall performance of the department and ensure KPI's are well developed, cascaded, communicated and monitored.
The successful candidate for the described role must possess a strong educational background in sports management, extensive experience in sports governance, strategic thinking, and the ability to develop and implement governance frameworks. They should excel in policy development, financial management, organizational performance improvement, and have strong leadership and communication skills. Additionally, they must align departmental strategies with the organization's vision, engage with stakeholders effectively, and be adaptable to the dynamic sports sector.
