Functional Description:
Responsible for driving all spare parts sales at a regional level for all spare parts products in line with set guidelines of
the National Spare Parts Manager. Monitor adherence to set sales targets to ensure consistent growth and profitability
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement sales plans for the Spare Parts Sales Unit in line with the targets and strategic objectives of Samaco.
- Monitor sales performance of the region in line with set KPIs, take corrective/preventative action as necessary.
- Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the entire cycle of spare parts provision
- Drive increase in the operational efficiency of the region through the implementation of streamlining activities in line
with set policies and standards
- Oversee the processing of payments in a timely manner and ensure customer data confidentiality
- Manage the effective allocation of spare parts within the region and based on sales forecast and requirements
- Ensure optimal and cost efficient management of the spare parts inventory within the in scope region
- Monitor the effective allocation of workforce and physical resources across the region in line with the strategic
objectives of the Spare Parts Department
- Ensure continuous improvement of inventory management systems and tools in line with international best
practices
- Assist in the development and monitor adherence of the spare parts sales team to set guidelines, policies and
procedures
- Handle customer complaints and/or inquiries and relay them to the leadership as necessary
- Ensure that the spare parts team(s) have the required skills and knowledge. Provide ongoing career support and
mentoring as necessary

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide input to the Finance Department and the Unit leadership, as required and as per the approved governance
process, for the purpose of budget formulation
- Monitor budget implementation and allocation to ensure that it is in line with the approved budget. Report any
actual / foreseen budgetary deviations and recommend corrective action as necessary
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set performance management objectives for all reportees, based on the Unit objectives, and perform mid-year and
year end performance reviews. Monitor performance and give ad-hoc advice when necessary to ensure that
performance objectives are met
- Provide guidance to reportees on operational matters with mentoring and coaching when necessary in order to
ensure that they are well equipped to tackle the operational requirements from a professional and behavioral
standpoint
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- When requested, work closely with relevant internal and external stakeholders to coordinate activities and
contribute to the achievement of Spare parts Unit objectives
- Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that professional
needs are met in a timely and efficient manner
Reporting Line
This position reports to the After Sales Manager.
Span of Control
This position supervises department and related spare parts staff.
