The Logistics Officer plans to perform and control the logistics operation activities within the organization. This position directs the shipment clearance and ensures effective and efficient monitoring/tracking of all inbound and outbound shipments at all times.
Job Responsibilities 1
Responsible for arranging shipment arrangements for inbound and outbound.
Handles shipment clearances.
Tracks and monitors shipments to ensure on time delivery.
Develops reports on products/materials movements and various operational logistics issues.
Updates stakeholders (internal/external) on the status of their shipments in transit.
Develops logistics along with support plans, budget requirements and organization timelines for new operations.
Creates operational procedures and method statements.
Prepares reports on material/products and personnel movements and various operational logistics problems.
Job Responsibilities 2
Assesses existing logistics operations systems and advise on corrective measures to be undertaken.
Assists in designing and developing standard operating methods to manage logistics operations efficiently.
Comply with all applicable company directives, policies, and procedures.
Monitors the material movement to and from the workface does not cause damage to the works, the workforce or the public.
Monitors team safety training are completed as required by company and client’s standard programme.
Ensures customers receives their products in a timely manner and good condition.
Communicates effectively with clients and responding to their requirements.
Coordinates and presents logistics support to ongoing operations.
