Job Description

  • Achieve budgeted sales and margin targets consistent with delivering the company’s growth objectives
  • Achieve product distribution in the channel as per the recommended portfolio to optimize sales & increase market share
  • Set and review sales targets for salesmen to achieve overall target objective of the area
  • Ensure that all assigned Van Sales Representatives adhere to and follow their targeted number of trips, daily journey plan, number of outlet calls and strike rate (productive calls) within your assigned territory
  • Ensure all team members are consistently attired in the Company uniform, equipped with the required skills & knowledge to optimize team productivity & performance
  • Ensure product hygiene & freshness in the sales vans and outlets to achieve optimum customer satisfaction & product quality
  • Maintain wastage under budgeted level to optimize margins
  • While maximizing Cash sales as a mode of payment, ensure any B2B (Bill to Bill) and Credit customers are in line with company policy to avoid any financial loss to company
  • Retain/negotiate for existing/new shelf space to maintain/grow market dominance
  • Maintain POSM material requirements in the sales vans and placement strategy in the outlets
  • Secure new outlets, so as to grow the overall universe of outlets
  • Analyse field reports and prepare sales documents
  • Analyse competitor pricing/activity, make recommendations to the Sales Manager
  • Conduct annual and six monthly appraisals for all team members so that performance is tracked and discrepancies in performance are rectified at the earliest
  • Motivate & encourage your team to optimize individual potential & productivity
  • Conduct regular and effective Start of Day and End of Day sales meetings to review performance and provide feedback
  • Conduct regular market visits (min 40% of your time) with all sales team members to assist them in managing customer issues, improving performance and provide guidance and training
  • Participate in and recommend team members for Employee of the Month and other awards
