Job Description

Aid Gate Organization (AGO) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Work-Based Learning (WBL) Data Collector.

The WBL Data Collector will support field-level data collection from selected enterprises and employers to contribute to the development of Job Descriptions (JDs) for high- and mid-ranked occupations identified through the Skills Needs Assessment (SNA).

The role includes coordinating with enterprises, conducting structured interviews with employers and relevant representatives, and collecting accurate information on job duties and responsibilities, required technical and soft skills, qualifications and experience, tools and equipment, working conditions, entry-level competencies, and opportunities for workplace learning.

The Data Collector will use the approved data collection tools/platforms and will be responsible for ensuring that all collected information is complete, accurate, and submitted within the agreed timeframe.

Candidates should have previous experience in data collection, field research, surveys, or interviews. Experience working with enterprises, labour market assessments, vocational training, or employment-related activities is an advantage. Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to use digital data collection tools such as KoboToolbox are required.



  • University degree or relevant educational background in social sciences, business administration, economics, vocational education, human resources, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in data collection, field research, surveys, interviews, or similar assignments.
  • Experience conducting interviews with employers, enterprises, or other stakeholders is an asset.
  • Familiarity with labour market, skills development, vocational training, or employment-related data collection is an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with enterprise representatives.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record and manage collected information.
  • Ability to use digital data collection tools/platforms, such as KoboToolbox or similar applications.
  • Ability to work independently, travel to enterprises, and complete field assignments within the agreed timeframe.
  • Fluency in the relevant local language(s); knowledge of English is an advantage.
