NFE Teacher-Baghdad

Purpose

The NFE Teacher will provide quality non-formal education to out-of-school IDP children and children at risk of dropping out, supporting their learning and reintegration into formal education.

Main Responsibilities

- Deliver NFE, catch-up and remedial classes according to the approved curriculum.

- Prepare lesson plans and appropriate learning activities.

- Conduct pre/post learning assessments and monitor children's progress.

- Maintain attendance sheets and required education records.

- Provide a safe, inclusive and child-friendly learning environment.

- Follow up on children's attendance and identify children at risk of dropping out.

- Refer children with protection or specialized needs to the relevant project staff.

- Coordinate with the Education/Project Officer, parents and local schools.

- Participate in trainings, meetings and project monitoring activities.

- Follow TDH Child Safeguarding, PSEA, Code of Conduct and confidentiality requirements.

Qualification:

- Diploma or university degree in Education, Arabic, English, Mathematics, Science or a related field.

- Previous teaching/NFE experience is preferred.

- Experience working with vulnerable or displaced children is an advantage.

- Good communication, classroom management and teamwork skills.

- Knowledge of the local community in Latifiya
