Mission/Project: |
Iraq Mission: Baghdad Coordination- Baghdad project – Nablus (Mosul project closure), Emergency Response and new projects |
Main Purpose:
In close collaboration with the Head of Mission (HoM), the Medical Department, and other local authorities defining, Plan, design, lead, coach and coordinate implementing the overall medical content, strategy, activities, and resources in the mission. Being responsible for the planning and coordination of all medical activities and its resources in the mission, according to MSF’s charter, policies, and ethical principles with consideration of international and national laws, in order to ensure the delivery of quality medical care for patients and their communities. Monitor medical and humanitarian situation in the country for timely emergency preparedness and response.

Requirements:

Education |
Essential, degree in medicine or other paramedical studies. Specialization in tropical medicine or a degree in Public Health would be an asset. |

Experience |
Essential, working experience of at least two years as Medco and/or deputy medco and previous humanitarian experience in MSF or other NGOs in developing countries. |

Languages |
Essential english; Arabic and Kurdish would be an asset |
