ROLE SUMMARY
The General Practice Doctor provides comprehensive, ongoing health care for individuals and families, diagnosing and treating common illnesses, managing chronic conditions, offering preventative care and referring patients to specialists when needed to ensure overall patient health and wellness. The General Practice Doctor for Samaritans Purse REACH Health Program maintains high standards of quality and safety at outpatient service delivery, combining expertise and compassionate genuine care so that health needs are met.
JOB DUTIES
- Diagnoses and treats a wide range of acute non-life-threatening and chronic diseases.
- Conducts follow-ups, routine physical exams and preventative screenings.
- Prescribes medications and recommends treatment plans tailored to patient needs and resources.
- Manages health records and ensures accurate documentation.
- Educates patients on lifestyle modifications and other health promotion practices.
- Refers patients to specialists for advanced care when necessary.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
- Preserves patient privacy and safety.
- Addresses patients with humility, respect, and sensitivity, fostering trust and comfort.
- Collaborates interdisciplinary to achieve programs goals.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- Bachelor's degree in Medicine (MBChB, MBBS, MD) required.
- Three years of clinical years' experience required.
- Proved experience in primary care or equivalent certification/training.
- Specialization degree in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, GYN/Obstetrics, preferred.
- Valid Department of Health license/registration required.
