 Dijla Agricultural Association (DAA) is an independent non-governmental organization based in Mosul, Iraq. Established in 2012, DAA focuses on enhancing agricultural and economic development through modern technologies and practices. The association actively coordinates with agricultural departments and local farmers to implement advanced model projects in agriculture, animal husbandry, and related fields. Its mission includes revitalizing the agricultural sector, promoting sustainable livelihoods, and fostering community development. DAA operates across various Iraqi governorates, including Nineveh, Dohuk, Kirkuk, Hilla and Anbar, implementing projects that address the needs of internally displaced persons, host communities, and returnees. These initiatives aim to build the country's economy, reduce unemployment, and raise the level of scientific and agricultural development. In collaboration with international partners, DAA has played a pivotal role in improving communities Livelihood income and Iraq's agricultural sector. The association also engages in social responsibility initiatives, such as distributing food baskets to underprivileged families and orphans, demonstrating its commitment to humanitarian support and social solidarity. Overall, DAA strives to empower communities, promote sustainable livelihoods and agricultural practices, contribute to the socio-economic development of Iraq.

 

Job Summary

MEAL Data analyst is responsible for leading data collection, ensuring data quality, conducting analysis, and supporting learning and accountability processes within the project. The role includes designing and managing digital tools, ensuring timely M&E reporting, conducting baseline and endline surveys, and supporting overall project performance management. MEAL Data analyst will oversee and coordinate all monitoring and evaluation activities across the program locations in Mosul and Hamdaniya, ensuring accurate, timely, and context-appropriate data to inform project decisions and improve impact.

 

Job Function/ Description:

  • Lead project data collection, cleaning, verification, and analysis using standardized MEAL tools and digital systems.
  • Design, update, and manage digital data collection tools and dashboards, including Kobo, ODK, or any other data collection tool.
  • Conduct and coordinate baseline, midline, and endline surveys, including sampling, planning, supervision, and data management.
  • Support the development and implementation of the MEAL Work Plan, ensuring alignment with project objectives and organizational standards.
  • Carry out regular field monitoring visits to verify data quality, ensure completeness, and validate reported results.
  • Track project indicators, collect evidence of achievements, and support reporting against the logical framework and project plans.
  • Aggregate and analyze data from all project sites to produce analytical summaries that support management decision-making.
  • Support the establishment and monitoring of the Feedback and Complaints Response Mechanism (CRM) and ensure that all feedback is registered, categorized, referred to, and closed on time while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Capture and document lessons learned, best practices, and success stories to support organizational learning and program improvement.
  • Train and support enumerators and field staff on data collection methods, indicator definitions, and quality assurance standards.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, and Donor’s MEAL Officer to ensure consistent MEAL practices.
  • Support assessments, evaluations, verifications, and specialized studies as needed.
  • Perform any additional MEAL-related tasks assigned by Supervisor and Donor’s MEAL.


  • University or institute degree in IT, Computer science or related field. 
  • Minimum three years of demonstrated management experience, at least one of which is in a non-government organization. 
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with attention to details.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of data collection tools (Kobo, ODK, or similar) is a must.
  • Ability to travel frequently to project sites in Mosul and Hamdaniya surrounding areas.
  • Demonstrated experience with training and capacity-building 
  • Very good in written and spoken English and Arabic
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
