Enumerators will play a critical role in supporting baseline data collection for Project 1086. This position involves conducting household and community-level surveys in the target project locations to gather accurate, complete, and reliable data that will inform project design, implementation, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct household and individual surveys as per the baseline study tools and methodology.
- Conduct community surveys e.g. Focus Group Discussions.
- Ensure accurate and complete data collection using digital tools or paper-based formats, as instructed.
- Approach all respondents in a respectful, culturally sensitive, and ethical manner.
- Maintain high standards of data confidentiality and integrity throughout the data collection process.
- Collaborate closely with other enumerators, field staff, and WEO staff during fieldwork.
- Participate in all enumerator training sessions and pre-testing of data collection tools.
- Report daily progress, challenges, and feedback to the WEO.
- Follow the daily fieldwork schedule as coordinated by the WEO.
- Ensure proper use and safekeeping of data collection equipment.
- Adhere to WHH’s policies on safeguarding, code of conduct, and data privacy.
Supervision and Management:
- Daily field supervision and coordination will be provided by the WEO.
- Overall contract management, training, logistics, and payment will be handled by Welthungerhilfe (WHH).
Duration:
This is a short-term assignment based on the expected length of the baseline survey, with exact dates to be communicated during recruitment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of a high school diploma; post-secondary education is an advantage.
- Prior experience in field data collection, especially for baseline or impact assessments, is preferred.
- Ability to use smartphones, tablets, or digital data collection platforms (e.g., Kobo Toolbox, CommCare).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluency in the local language(s) of the project area is required.
- Willingness to travel within remote project areas and work under field conditions.
