II. POSITION SUMMARY


We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to oversee the construction of 380kV high voltage substations, Overhead transmission line and underground cable projects. The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in electrical construction management and a strong understanding of high voltage electrical systems.

The project consisting if 3x 380KV Substations, STATCOM 5KM 380kv UG Cable system and 300km OHTL being executed by Air Products as part of the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.



III, NATURE AND SCOPE


The HV Transmission system is part of a dedicated renewable energy system consisting of:

More than 300km of 380kV Overhead & 5km Underground Transmission Line, 3 x 380kV substations,2200 MW Solar Farm.1275 MW Wind Farm, 400 MWh BESS, 400MVAr STATCOM and Energy Management system to support the Green Hydrogen production facility being developed by the JV company.

Project Value: ~500M USD

Direct Reporting to Project Manager Transmission Systems

Functional Reporting to Construction Director

The number of Direct Reports (approximate): 3-5



V. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Participate in project meetings and propose improvements if necessary.
  • Evaluate potential problems and technical hitches and develop solutions.
  • Plan and manage project, risk, interface, schedules.
  • Supervise current projects and coordinate all team members to keep workflow on track
  • Support Project manager in project-related communication with all the stakeholders
  • Communicate with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives
  • Manages the interfaces for all engineering, procurement, and construction interfaces (external & internal) associated with the design and construction.
  • Promotes the integration of project goals and objectives of the project
  • Ensures scope, design basis and objectives are defined, best practices/lessons learned reviewed, detailed work plans, schedule, budget, and procedures are established,
  • Promotes the use of constructability reviews during project execution.
