Abides by the Medical Staff By-Laws, Code of Medical Ethics, Rules and regulations of the Medical Staff and those specific to the department.
Provides the highest attainable standard of medical care for the patients for whom he/she is responsibleaccording to established policies, protocols and guidelines of the hospital.
Carries out full range of clinical duties as assigned by the director of department/head of division in accordance with individually approved clinical privileges.
Be specialized in evaluating patients attending endodontics regarding severity of illness, possible or expected complications, administrating care and coordinating with other pedodontist practitioners and specialty medical teams as required.
Complete required approved clinical privileges and be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Clinical Care and Expertise:
Perform a wide range of endodontic procedures as per approved clinical privileges, including root canal treatments, retreatments, and surgical endodontics, demonstrating exceptional clinical skills and a thorough understanding of the latest techniques and technologies.
Diagnose and manage complex endodontic cases, utilizing advanced imaging and diagnostic tools to create effective treatment plans.
Attends the Continuing Medical Education Programme of the department/division.
To be available and accessible for referrals and consultations from other disciplines, according to his/her interests and special experience.
Strictly adhere to ethical and professional standards, including patient confidentiality, informed consent, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing staff, allied health professionals, and consultants, to facilitate efficient patient care and ensure appropriate consultations when needed.
Educate patients and their families about their medical condition, treatment options, and post-discharge care instructions. Address their questions, concerns, and provide appropriate resources for ongoing support.
Participates in the on-call duties as required by the department/division.
Participates in the improvement of quality of patient care (Total Quality Medicine Programme, Quality Assessment Improvement Programme) as applicable.
Fulfills the requirements of the Saudi Council for Health Specialties (SCFHS) with regard to continuing medical education.
Deputizes for his superior as required and shares workload in his specialty during the absence of his colleagues.
Serves on hospital committees as requested.
Stays abreast of the latest advancements in endodontics through ongoing professional development activities, such as attending conferences, workshops, and staying updated on relevant medical literature.
Participate in Community activities as related to health education and patient education practice.
Participates in CQI&PS System Control Activities, Staff Development, Environmental Safety Awareness and Fire and Safety Practices, Disaster, CPR and Infection Control.
Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.
EDUCATION AND/OR LICENSE:
Saudi Board or equivalent higher qualification in Endodontist from a recognized institution
Board certification or eligibility of certification in Endodontistor equivalent.
Valid SCFHS Accreditation and Registration.
Valid BLScertification.
Possess other certification pertinent to area of expertise.
