Through its programs and activities, HFH works to strengthen community capacities, improve access to opportunities, and address the needs of local communities. The organization is committed to inclusive development, accountability, transparency, and creating sustainable impact.

Position Overview

Human for Human Organization (HFH) is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and experienced Graphic Designer to provide professional graphic design and visual communication services under a 12-month Service Contract.

The assignment covers organizational branding, publications, digital campaigns, social media content, presentations, exhibitions, job fairs, business forums, conferences, and promotional materials. The service provider will manage design assignments from concept development through revisions, approval, production preparation, and final delivery, ensuring consistency with HFH’s visual identity, technical specifications, and applicable donor and partner visibility requirements.

Scope of Services

  • Organizational and project visual identities and branding materials.
  • Job fair, exhibition, business forum, conference, and event design.
  • Digital campaigns, social media graphics, and online promotional content.
  • Company directories, sponsorship packages, and sponsor recognition materials.
  • Reports, brochures, organizational profiles, newsletters, and other publications.
  • Presentations, infographics, charts, diagrams, and information materials.
  • Promotional merchandise and participant materials.
  • Print production preparation, large-format artwork, and visual quality assurance.
  • Digital and editable files, source-file organization, archiving, and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

Design Planning and Creative Development

  • Receive and review design briefs with the relevant HFH team to clarify communication objectives, intended audiences, messages, required formats, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Identify missing content, technical specifications, or approvals before starting design work.
  • Develop creative concepts, sample layouts, visual directions, and preliminary mockups when required.
  • Present design concepts that respond to the approved brief and explain their suitability for the intended audience and communication purpose.
  • Prepare a design work schedule identifying stages, review dates, dependencies, and final submission deadlines.
  • Manage multiple design requests, communicate workload constraints, and agree on priorities with the designated supervisor.
  • Incorporate consolidated feedback and maintain clear version records until final approval.

Visual Identity and Brand Management

  • Develop visual identity elements for projects, campaigns, events, and other assignments within the approved scope.
  • Apply HFH’s approved visual identity consistently across print, digital, and event materials.
  • Follow applicable donor, partner, and sponsor visibility guidelines.
  • Maintain correct logo proportions, spacing, color usage, placement, typography, and readability.
  • Prepare practical templates and visual guidance for presentations, reports, announcements, and social media materials.
  • Maintain an organized library of approved logos, fonts, icons, templates, photographs, and other design assets.
  • Identify and correct outdated or inconsistent visual materials before publication or production.

Exhibition, Job Fair, and Event Design

  • Develop coordinated visual concepts for job fairs, exhibitions, business forums, conferences, and other organizational events.
  • Design entrance graphics, registration-area branding, reception graphics, booth panels, company name boards, stage backdrops, and sponsor displays.
  • Prepare designs for roll-up banners, hanging banners, flags, wall graphics, window graphics, floor stickers, and other large-format materials.
  • Design directional signs, hall identifiers, booth numbering, service-point signs, and visitor information materials.
  • Convert approved floor plans into clear visitor-facing maps and directories without changing the approved spatial arrangements.
  • Prepare visual mockups to demonstrate how proposed designs will appear at the event venue.
  • Coordinate with operations staff and suppliers to confirm measurements, materials, installation requirements, and production specifications.
  • Attend venue visits or production inspections when required to verify dimensions and visual execution.

Company Directories and Sponsorship Materials

  • Design company directories using consistent layouts for company profiles, sectors, contact information, and recruitment opportunities.
  • Prepare templates for collecting company profiles, photographs, logos, and other required content.
  • Organize directory content into a clear structure with appropriate headings, navigation, and indexing.
  • Design sponsorship presentations, benefit comparison tables, promotional packages, and sponsor recognition materials.
  • Apply approved sponsorship categories and branding consistently across digital, printed, and venue-based materials.
  • Coordinate with the relevant officers to verify company names, contact details, sponsor information, and approved sponsorship entitlements.
  • Prepare print-ready and digital directory versions, including working hyperlinks where required.

Digital Campaigns and Social Media

  • Develop campaign key visuals and coordinated graphic content for digital communication campaigns.
  • Design social media posts, carousels, stories, banners, advertisements, and other platform-specific materials.
  • Adapt designs to required platform dimensions and display conditions while maintaining visual consistency.
  • Design recruitment announcements, event invitations, registration reminders, speaker profiles, countdowns, and results posts.
  • Prepare website banners, newsletter graphics, thumbnails, and digital information cards.
  • Develop charts and infographics that communicate approved data and project results accurately.
  • Ensure that digital content remains readable on mobile devices and avoids overcrowded layouts.
  • Coordinate with communications staff to align visual materials with approved messages and publication schedules.
  • Prepare basic animated graphics when requested and included in the agreed technical scope.

Publications and Institutional Materials

  • Design organizational profiles, annual reports, project reports, brochures, newsletters, factsheets, and information booklets.
  • Establish consistent publication layouts using headings, grids, page numbering, tables, captions, and appropriate image styles.
  • Produce professional Arabic, English, and bilingual layouts.
  • Ensure correct Arabic text direction, alignment, punctuation, numbering, and placement of mixed-language content.
  • Design covers and internal pages according to the purpose and intended audience of each publication.
  • Prepare screen-readable digital versions when required.
  • Coordinate with content owners to verify text, figures, captions, acknowledgments, and logos before finalization.
  • Flag missing information or apparent inconsistencies for confirmation before final approval.
  • Deliver final PDFs and complete editable publication files in the agreed formats.

Promotional Merchandise and Participant Materials

  • Design notebooks, folders, tote bags, pens, badges, lanyards, certificates, and other approved promotional items.
  • Adapt artwork to the production method, printable area, material, and dimensions of each item.
  • Prepare artwork placement instructions and reference mockups for suppliers.
  • Check the readability of logos and text at actual production size.
  • Coordinate sample reviews with the responsible team before bulk production.
  • Ensure that promotional materials maintain a consistent visual identity across the event or project.

Presentations and Information Design

  • Develop PowerPoint templates and presentations for meetings, workshops, donor briefings, conferences, and events.
  • Convert approved written content into clear and visually organized slides without changing its meaning.
  • Create diagrams, timelines, process illustrations, charts, and other visual representations using verified information.
  • Ensure that charts and infographics accurately represent the underlying data.
  • Prepare editable presentation files that HFH staff can update as needed.
  • Maintain consistent typography, colors, layouts, and branding across presentation materials.

Photography and Image Preparation

  • Select suitable photographs from approved organizational assets and prepare them for their intended use.
  • Crop, resize, color-correct, and optimize images for print and digital publication.
  • Maintain image quality while optimizing file sizes for digital delivery.
  • Preserve the accuracy and context of documentary photographs.

  • Avoid using identifiable participant images in sensitive contexts without the necessary internal approval.

Print Production and Supplier Coordination

  • Prepare artwork according to the dimensions, resolution, color profiles, bleed, and finishing specifications agreed with the supplier.
  • Confirm document scale and final output dimensions for large-format materials.
  • Check fonts, linked images, transparency, and other production elements before exporting final artwork.
  • Produce print-ready PDFs and other required production formats.
