Job Description

Internship Opportunity

MAG Iraq is inviting applications from motivated and enthusiastic individuals interested in gaining practical work experience within a humanitarian organization.

The internship will provide an opportunity for interns to develop practical workplace skills, gain exposure to the humanitarian sector, and support MAG Iraq teams in their day-to-day activities.

 

Key Responsibilities

Interns may be expected to:

  • Support the relevant department with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks.
  • Assist with data entry, filing, documentation and record management.
  • Support the preparation and organization of documents and reports.
  • Participate in meetings and other relevant activities as appropriate.
  • Assist team members with assigned tasks and follow established procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle organizational information appropriately.
  • Work collaboratively with MAG Iraq staff and demonstrate a professional approach.
  • Undertake other reasonable tasks relevant to the internship and learning objectives.
  • The specific duties and responsibilities will be agreed according to the intern's assigned department, skills, learning objectives and MAG Iraq's operational requirements.

Contract and Payment

  • Duration: 3 months.
  • Daily rate: USD 20 per working day.
  • Working hours: The internship may be arranged on a full-time or pro-rated daily working-hours basis, depending on the agreed schedule and operational requirements.

Payment will be based on the actual agreed working days/hours completed, in accordance with the applicable MAG Iraq arrangements.The internship is a temporary learning and work-experience opportunity and does not constitute a guarantee of future employment with MAG Iraq.



 

Person Specification

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Bachelor degree, solely graduated from (2024-2025 and 2025-2026) will be considered
  • Ability to read and write in (English, Kurdish and Arabic)
  • An interest in gaining practical experience within the humanitarian sector.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications where relevant.
  • Professional attitude and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Ability to follow instructions, policies and procedures.
  • Commitment to MAG's humanitarian values and principles.
  • Relevant educational background, qualifications or previous experience will be considered according to the internship area.
