Work-Based Learning (WBL) Field, Erbil, Mosul, Doduk Monitor

Aid Gate Organization (AGO), in partnership with relevant stakeholders, is implementing Work-Based Learning (WBL) activities designed to strengthen the link between vocational training and workplace learning. As part of the programme’s monitoring and quality-assurance arrangements, AGO will deploy Field Monitors in Erbil, Ninewa (Mosul), and Duhok to independently monitor the quality, safety, accessibility, inclusion, and implementation of WBL activities at Vocational Training Centres (VTCs) and partner enterprises.

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Social Sciences, Education, Business Administration, Monitoring and Evaluation, Development Studies, vocational education/training, or another relevant field is preferred.
• At least one year of relevant experience in field monitoring, data collection, vocational training, livelihoods, youth employment, education, or humanitarian/development projects is preferred.
• Ability to conduct structured interviews, observations, and basic document reviews and record clear, objective evidence.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to engage respectfully with trainees, employers, trainers, VTC staff, and project personnel.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, neutrality, professional boundaries, and sensitivity when discussing safeguarding or workplace concerns.
• Good written and spoken Arabic and/or Kurdish appropriate to the assigned location; working knowledge of English is an advantage.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned governorate and independently manage the agreed visit schedule.
• Basic ability to use digital data-collection/reporting tools, email, and common office applications is an advantage.
