Context/Reporting line:
Under the general guidance of the Head, Mobility Pathways and Inclusion Unit, the overall Supervision of the Programme Coordinator (MHPSS), the administrative supervision of the Head of Sub Office (HoSO), and the direct supervision of Senior MHPSS Assistant in close coordination of the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Officer, the successful candidates will be responsible for the following duties:

Core Functions / Responsibilities
- Participate in the continuous needs assessment component of the project: collect data, facilitate group discussions in the communities targeted under the project and deliver written reports with that input in Jedda camp.
- Prepare and implement the activity plan in close collaboration with the team members and the senior assistant.
- Offer individual support and basic counselling to beneficiaries if required under supervision of the senior assistant in Jedda camp.
- Conduct community outreach activities and collaboration with civil society organization ensuring inclusiveness of vulnerable and marginalized populations in project activities in Jedda camp.
- Organize and lead support groups, focus group discussions and awareness raising sessions and contribute to development of messages related to MHPSS awareness raising and sensitization in Jedda camp.
- Assist the senior assistant and MHPSS programme officers in the overall implementation of the project, including administrative and technical actions, coordination, and project development functions.
- Support the MHPSS team members with the implementation of skills-based and vocational MHPSS activities, including the organization and facilitation of MHPSS awareness sessions and peer-support groups in Jedda camp.
- Provide psychosocial first aid and emotional support to affected population in case of sudden/on-going emergency.
- Any other duty as may be assigned by the area coordinator or programme officers.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, Educational Psychology, or other relevant social sciences from an accredited academic university or institution with two years of relevant professional experience, or
- Highschool diploma with four years of relevant professional experience
Experience and Skills:
- Experience working in the humanitarian or development sector,
- Experience in mental health, psychosocial support and capacity building programs.
- Experience in capacity building for local NGOs or social programmes is a strong advantage.
- Experience in communicating and working with a wide range of people including people of culturally diverse backgrounds.
Languages:
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
- Knowledge of the Kurdish language is an advantage.
