Job Title: Field Data Collector
Job Purpose:
The Field Data Collector will be responsible for conducting 24 in-depth interviews (IDIs) with individuals working in the public and private sectors in the governorates of Anbar, Ninewa, Salah al-Din, and Baghdad. These interviews will be conducted using an approved data collection tool to provide high-quality data.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct 24 in-depth interviews with the target participants according to the approved sampling plan in the four governorates.
- Coordinate with the project team to identify survey participants for interviews.
- Adhere to the Interview Guide or the approved data collection tool without any modifications.
- Obtain informed consent from all participants before commencing interviews.
- Ensure strict confidentiality and protect the privacy of participants, adhering to ethical data collection principles.
- Accurately and thoroughly document interviews, either through recording (with participant consent) or by taking detailed notes. • Review data after each interview to ensure its completeness and quality.
- Submit all data collection tools, recordings, and observations to the project team within the specified timeframe.
- Inform the project team of any challenges or field observations that may affect the data collection process.
- Adhere to the project's Code of Conduct and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policies while performing tasks.
Required Qualifications:
- University degree in Social Sciences, Management, Law, Political Science, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in qualitative data collection and in-depth interviewing.
- Experience working with civil society organizations or research projects is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interviewing skills with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic report writing.
Expected Deliverables:
- Conduct 24 in-depth interviews with targeted beneficiaries across the four governorates.
- Submit completed and accurate interview forms. • Submit audio recordings (with participant consent) and field observations.
- Submit a concise report on the data collection process, including challenges, observations, and recommendations.
Contract Duration:
A short-term contract covering the duration of the data collection activity, according to the approved project timeline.
Work Location:
Baghdad, Anbar, Salah al-Din, and Nineveh governorates, with interviews conducted at locations agreed upon with participants.
