The Kurdistan Organization for Human Rights Watch (KOHRW) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting human rights, democracy, rule of law, good governance, social cohesion, and sustainable development through advocacy, research, capacity building, and community engagement.
As part of its commitment to supporting young professionals and students, KOHRW is pleased to announce its Internship Program 2026, offering valuable learning and professional development opportunities across various departments.

Internship Objective
The internship program aims to provide students and recent graduates with practical experience in a professional NGO environment while enhancing their technical, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
Interns will work closely with experienced staff members and contribute to ongoing organizational activities and projects while gaining valuable exposure to organizational operations and development work.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may vary depending on the assigned department and may include:
- Assisting with daily departmental activities.
- Supporting administrative and operational tasks.
- Conducting research, data collection, and information gathering.
- Assisting in preparing reports, presentations, and project documentation.
- Supporting project implementation and coordination activities.
- Assisting with filing, record management, and data entry.
- Participating in meetings, workshops, training sessions, and organizational events.
- Supporting communication and coordination with stakeholders when required.
- Performing other tasks assigned by supervisors.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Final-year university students, fresh graduates, or candidates with a maximum of one year of professional work experience.
- Educational background relevant to the selected department is preferred.
- Strong interest in learning and professional development.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently, responsibly, and professionally.
- Demonstrated commitment, punctuality, and willingness to learn.
- Good command of Kurdish, Arabic, and/or English.
- Previous volunteer or internship experience is considered an advantage but is not required.

Internship Conditions
- This is an unpaid internship opportunity and does not constitute employment with KOHRW.
- Interns will receive a limited allowance to cover transportation and meal expenses only.(300,000 IQD) per month.
- Participation in the internship program does not guarantee future employment with KOHRW.
- Outstanding interns may be encouraged to apply for future vacancies through KOHRW's standard competitive recruitment procedures.
- Interns are expected to comply with KOHRW policies, procedures, confidentiality requirements, and professional standards throughout the internship period.
