Job Description

The Conflict Early Warning and Early Response Specialist will provide technical leadership on community-based conflict prevention, Infrastructure for Peace, and the development of Community-Based Early Warning and Early Response (CBEWER) mechanisms. The role will ensure conflict-sensitive, inclusive, and gender-responsive implementation with active participation of women and youth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the design, rollout, and strengthening of CBEWER mechanisms.
  • Provide technical support and capacity building to local peace structures and community mechanisms.
  • Develop and manage conflict trend analysis databases and analytical reports.
  • Review early response initiatives to ensure conflict sensitivity and inclusion of women and youth.
  • Lead and support granting processes to local CSOs/CBOs.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, local authorities, and project partners to strengthen early warning and response systems.


 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies, Social Sciences, International Relations, or related field.
  • Minimum [3] years of relevant experience in conflict prevention, early warning systems, or peacebuilding.
  • Experience in community-based programming, data analysis, and capacity building.
  • Strong coordination, analytical, and communication skills.
