Organization Background

Yazda Iraq is a local organization registered in both Iraq and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. It operates as a subsidiary of the global Yazda organization and adheres to the same mission: supporting vulnerable communities, particularly those affected by genocide and mass atrocities. In Iraq/KRI, Yazda implements programs focused on advocacy, legal assistance, humanitarian aid, and community and survivor empowerment initiatives. The Country Director leads these efforts, ensuring they align with organizational goals and respond effectively to local needs.

Job Purpose

The Part-Time Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the security and protection of Yazda’s Sinune office, including its staff, property, and equipment. The role ensures continuous monitoring and immediate response to any security risks during assigned shifts.

Main Resposiblities

1. Ensure the safety and security of the office building, assets, and surrounding premises at all times.

2. Monitor access to the office and prevent unauthorized entry.

3. Conduct regular checks of the premises during shifts.

4. Operate and switch generators on/off as required to ensure continuous electricity supply.

5. Immediately report any security incidents, suspicious activities, or emergencies to the supervisor.

6. Safeguard office equipment, furniture, and all physical assets.

7. Maintain cleanliness and order in the guard area and immediate surroundings.

8. Follow Yazda’s safety, security, and code of conduct policies at all times.

9. Be available and responsive during assigned duty hours and any additional requested days.

10. Support basic operational needs related to facility safety when required.

Deliverables 

1.Continuous security coverage during assigned shifts.  

2.Protection of office premises and assets without incident.  

3.Proper operation of generator and basic facility functions.  

4.Timely reporting of any incidents or issues.  

5.Compliance with Yazda’s safety, security, and ethical standards.

الغرض من الوظيفة
يتحمل حارس الأمن بدوام جزئي مسؤولية ضمان أمن وحماية مكتب يزدا في سنوني، بما في ذلك الموظفين والممتلكات والمعدات. ويشمل الدور المراقبة المستمرة والاستجابة الفورية لأي مخاطر أمنية خلال نوبات العمل المخصصة.

المسؤوليات الرئيسية

• ضمان سلامة وأمن مبنى المكتب والممتلكات والمناطق المحيطة به في جميع الأوقات.
• مراقبة الدخول إلى المكتب ومنع أي دخول غير مصرح به.
• إجراء جولات تفقدية منتظمة للموقع خلال نوبات العمل.
• تشغيل وإيقاف المولدات حسب الحاجة لضمان استمرار تزويد الكهرباء.
• الإبلاغ فورًا عن أي حوادث أمنية أو أنشطة مشبوهة أو حالات طارئة إلى المشرف.
• حماية معدات المكتب والأثاث وجميع الأصول المادية.
• الحفاظ على النظافة والنظام في منطقة الحراسة والمناطق المحيطة المباشرة.
• الالتزام بجميع سياسات يزدا المتعلقة بالسلامة والأمن ومدونة السلوك في جميع الأوقات.
• التواجد والاستجابة خلال ساعات العمل المحددة وأي أيام إضافية مطلوبة.
• دعم الاحتياجات التشغيلية الأساسية المتعلقة بسلامة المرافق عند الحاجة.

المخرجات (Deliverables)

1. توفير تغطية أمنية مستمرة خلال نوبات العمل المحددة.
2. حماية مباني المكتب وممتلكاته دون وقوع حوادث.
3. التشغيل السليم للمولدات والوظائف الأساسية.
4. الإبلاغ في الوقت المناسب عن أي حوادث أو مشكلات.
5. الالتزام بمعايير يزدا المتعلقة بالسلامة والأمن والأخلاقيات.

• Prior security experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of safety and security procedures
• Ability to operate or learn generator operation
• High level of responsibility, alertness, and discipline
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Ability to work flexible and irregular hours (weekends/holidays/on call)
