The Iraqi Institution for Development (IID) is an independent, non-profit organization working in development, peacebuilding, and humanitarian response across Iraq. IID focuses on supporting vulnerable communities, returnees, and youth through integrated programs in livelihoods, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), education, and social cohesion.
IID is seeking a qualified and experienced MHPSS Technical Specialist (Pending Donor Approval) to lead the technical design, supervision, and quality assurance of all MHPSS activities within the project.
Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
5–8 years of experience in MHPSS -NGOs programming
Experience working in humanitarian or post-conflict settings
Strong knowledge of MHPSS approaches and intervention models
Experience in case management and referral systems
Experience in trauma-informed care and psychosocial support
Knowledge of reintegration and community-based approaches
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to handle sensitive cases with confidentiality
Strong communication and coordination skills
Experience in training and capacity building
Fluency in Arabic and good English skills
