The Iraqi Institution for Development (IID) is an independent, non-profit organization working in development, peacebuilding, and humanitarian response across Iraq. IID focuses on supporting vulnerable communities, returnees, and youth through integrated programs in livelihoods, MHPSS, education, and social cohesion.
IID is seeking a qualified and experienced Livelihoods & Business Development Expert (Pending Donor Approval) to lead and support the design and implementation of livelihood and economic empowerment activities under the project.
The role focuses on vocational training, business development, market linkage, and supporting beneficiaries to establish sustainable income-generating activities.
Master’s degree in a relevant field (Bachelor's with strong experience may be considered)
5–8 years of experience in livelihoods, economic development, or similar NGOs programs
Experience working with donor-funded projects
Strong experience in livelihood programming and economic empowerment
Experience in business development, entrepreneurship support, and SME support
Experience in market assessments and value chain analysis
Knowledge of reintegration and stabilization programming
Understanding of local labor markets in Ninewa is an asset
Strong coordination and communication skills
Ability to work with vulnerable communities
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Ability to manage multiple activities under pressure
Fluency in Arabic and good English skills
