The Iraqi Institution for Development (IID) is an independent, non-profit organization working in the fields of development, peacebuilding, and humanitarian response across Iraq. IID focuses on supporting vulnerable communities, returnees, and youth through integrated programs in livelihoods, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), education, and social cohesion, while promoting stability and sustainable development.
IID is seeking a qualified and experienced Project Manager (Pending Donor Approval) to lead the implementation of a project focused on livelihood support and psychosocial services for returnees and vulnerable communities in Ninewa.
The Project Manager will be responsible for overall project implementation, team management, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring the high-quality delivery of all activities.
Master’s degree in a relevant field
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in project management in NGOs.
Proven experience managing donor-funded projects
Strong knowledge of MHPSS (Mental Health and Psychosocial Support)
Experience in PVE (Preventing/Countering Violent Extremism) programs
Experience in reintegration and stabilization programming
Strong understanding of livelihood and economic empowerment interventions
Familiarity with (data management and reporting systems)
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to build a positive, respectful, and supportive team environment
Strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct
Ability to handle sensitive information professionally
Excellent coordination and communication skills
Strong reporting and analytical skills
Experience in budget management and planning
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
Fluency in Arabic (required)
Good command of English (required)
