- Background
Aid Gate Organization (AGO) is implementing the Comprehensive Rehabilitation and Reintegration through Holistic Case Management Services for Returnees from Al-Hol Camp in Iraq. The project aims to provide holistic support to returnees through structured case management, referral coordination, and reintegration assistance to ensure safe, dignified, and sustainable return to communities.
As part of the project, AGO is operating in Jada’a 1 Camp to facilitate case management and referral services for returnees and vulnerable individuals, ensuring access to health, psychosocial, legal, livelihood, and protection services through coordinated referral mechanisms.
AGO is seeking a qualified Referral Coordination Focal Point – Project Assistant to manage referral coordination, maintain service mapping, follow up on referrals, and support project implementation in Jada’a 1 camp.
- Job Purpose
The Referral Coordination Focal Point – Project Assistant will be responsible for coordinating referrals for beneficiaries, maintaining referral tracking systems, liaising with service providers, and supporting the case management team to ensure that beneficiaries receive appropriate services in a timely and organized manner.
The position will work closely with the Project Manager, Case Management team, and partner organizations to ensure effective coordination and smooth implementation of referral processes in accordance with AGO procedures and donor requirements.
- Key Responsibilities
- Referral Coordination
- Maintain an updated database of service providers inside Jada’a 1 camp and surrounding areas.
- Coordinate referrals for beneficiaries based on case management assessments.
- Ensure referral forms are properly completed and approved.
- Follow up with service providers to confirm service delivery.
- Track referral progress until completion.
- Maintain referral tracking sheets.
- Ensure referrals follow approved procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of beneficiary information.
- Support case workers in identifying appropriate services.
- Report referral delays or problems to supervisor.
- Coordination with Service Providers and Stakeholders
- Coordinate with NGOs, UN agencies, and local authorities operating in Jada’a 1 camp.
- Maintain regular communication with service providers.
- Participate in coordination meetings.
- Share referral updates with project team.
- Support collaboration between AGO and partners.
- Coordinate with camp management when required.
- Inform supervisor about service gaps.
- Support strengthening of referral pathways.
- Maintain professional communication with stakeholders.
- Ensure effective information sharing.
- Monitoring and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of all referrals.
- Update referral database regularly.
- Monitor whether beneficiaries received services.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
- Submit reports to Project Manager.
- Provide data for donor reporting.
- Maintain organized files.
- Report urgent cases immediately.
- Support monitoring visits.
- Provide statistics when requested.
- Field Support and Follow-Up
- Work inside Jada’a 1 camp on daily basis.
- Meet beneficiaries to verify needs.
- Follow up after referrals.
- Visit service providers when needed.
- Support case management team.
- Assist during project activities.
- Support identification of vulnerable individuals.
- Follow camp regulations.
- Follow security procedures.
- Provide field updates to supervisor.
- Project Support
- Assist Project Manager in project activities.

- Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years experience in referral, case management, or project support.
- Experience in humanitarian projects preferred.
- Experience working in camps preferred.
- Good computer skills.
- Ability to work in Jada’a 1 camp.
- Fluency in Arabic.
- Good English skills.
Desirable
- Experience with case management systems.
