- Background
Aid Gate Organization (AGO) is implementing the Comprehensive Rehabilitation and Reintegration through Holistic Case Management Services for Returnees from Al-Hol Camp in Iraq. The project aims to provide holistic support to returnees through case management, referral coordination, and reintegration assistance to ensure safe, dignified, and sustainable return to communities.
As part of the project, AGO works in close coordination with the Ministry of Migration and Displacement (MoMD) and other governmental institutions to ensure proper referral, follow-up, and service provision for returnees and vulnerable individuals.
AGO is seeking a qualified MoMD Coordination Focal Point – Project Assistant to support coordination with MoMD, facilitate communication between AGO and government entities, and ensure smooth implementation of referral and reintegration activities.
- Job Purpose
The MoMD Coordination Focal Point – Project Assistant will be responsible for maintaining regular coordination with the Ministry of Migration and Displacement and relevant governmental bodies, supporting referral processes, facilitating official communication, and assisting in project implementation related to returnees and case management services.
The position will support the Project Manager and case management team to ensure that coordination with government authorities is effective, documented, and compliant with project requirements.
- Key Responsibilities
- Coordination with MoMD and Government Authorities
- Maintain regular communication with the Ministry of Migration and Displacement.
- Facilitate coordination between AGO and MoMD at central and governorate levels.
- Support official meetings between AGO and government authorities.
- Assist in obtaining approvals when required.
- Follow up on official requests related to project activities.
- Coordinate referral processes with MoMD.
- Support communication regarding returnees and case management.
- Maintain records of coordination meetings.
- Ensure proper information sharing.
- Represent AGO in coordination meetings when requested.
- Referral and Case Management Coordination
- Coordinate with MoMD regarding beneficiary referrals.
- Support case management team in government-related cases.
- Follow up on referrals requiring MoMD involvement.
- Assist in resolving referral delays.
- Ensure proper documentation of referrals.
- Support coordination between MoMD and service providers.
- Maintain referral tracking sheets.
- Report referral issues to Project Manager.
- Ensure referrals follow approved procedures.

- Project Support and Follow-Up
- Assist Project Manager in project coordination.
- Support implementation of project activities.
- Follow up on action points from meetings.
- Support preparation of reports.
- Assist in organizing coordination events.

- Assist in monitoring visits.

- Monitoring and Reporting
- Maintain records of all coordination activities.
- Prepare weekly and monthly updates.

- Liaison and Communication
- Act as focal point between AGO and MoMD.

- Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Law, Public Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years experience in coordination, project support, or case management.
- Experience working with government institutions preferred.
- Experience in humanitarian projects preferred.
- Good computer skills.
- Ability to work in Baghdad.
- Fluency in Arabic.
- Good English skills.
Desirable
- Experience working with MoMD.
- Experience in protection or reintegration projects.
- Experience with NGOs or UN projects.
