Job Summary
The Child Friendly Space (CFS) Promoter is responsible for preparing and delivering daily curriculum and play activities to the children who attend the CFS at the Yazidi Empowerment Project (YEP) Community Center. Activities include games, free play, arts and crafts, stories, lessons, and educational activities. The CFS Promoter will ensure timely enrollment for each cycle, record daily attendance, monitor and evaluate program activities, and report any concerns or issues to the Program Manager.
Job Duties:
- Facilitate Child Friendly Space (CFS) classes for children ages 612, including a summer outreach program, to promote educational and character development.
- Co-lead a preschool daycare program for children ages 45, preparing them for the start of school.
- Collaborate with the other CFS Promoter to maintain a safe, child-friendly atmosphere, adapting activities to suit children of varying ages, genders, and abilities.
- Plan and prepare daily lessons based on the provided curriculum, including materials, classroom setup, and content
- Supplement the curriculum with additional educational activities to strengthen childrens English, literacy, and basic math skills.
- Work with the education team to promote and register participants for classes.
- Record student attendance and submit timely, accurate reports to the Program Manager.
- Conduct pre and post-assessments evaluating the change in student behavior throughout the duration of the course.
- Report any concerns about a child or their family promptly to the Program Manager.
- Participate actively in regular team meetings.
- Adhere to the SP Code of Conduct at all times.

Education / Experience Needed
- Bachelor's degree in education or 1-3 years equivalent experience teaching and/or working with children is preferred.
- Desire to work with children
LANGUAGE
- Fluency in Kurdish required.
- Proficiency in English and/or Arabic is a plus.
