Job Announcement: Logistic Officer

Location: Erbil, Iraq
Job Type: Part-time (60%)
Contract Duration: Based on project timeline

About the Project:
Together to Protect Human & the Environment Association is a local NGO operating in Iraq, in partnership with Save the Children Iraq, implementing the ThriveSpace project in Erbil and Baghdad. The project aims to address the impact of climate change on children's emotional well-being and academic performance by creating climate-resilient learning environments, supporting school-based eco-initiatives, and producing child-led digital content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead procurement and sourcing for all project-related goods and services.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, conduct bid analysis, and select the best offers.
  • Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and follow up on payments.
  • Organize events, workshops, and field visits in collaboration with the project team.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support to the project team.

 



Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in logistics or procurement, preferably in a non-profit or project-based setting.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles and best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business administration, or a related field.

Additional Requirements:

  • Good computer and graphic design skills.
  • Proficiency in Kurdish, Arabic, and English.

Willingness to coordinate with suppliers and conduct market assessments independently.
