Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced psychologist for a 2-month contract to provide psychological services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, to clients experiencing a range of mental health issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in therapeutic interventions and the ability to work with diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations.
- Diagnose mental health disorders based on DSM-5 criteria.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Therapeutic Interventions:
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other appropriate modalities.
- Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
- Monitor and document client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Crisis Intervention:
- Offer crisis intervention and management for clients experiencing acute psychological distress.
- Develop safety plans and provide immediate support and stabilization.
- Provide consultation and support to other staff members regarding psychological issues.
- Education and Training:
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for staff and clients on mental health topics.
- Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families to enhance understanding and management of mental health conditions.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
- Prepare and submit reports on client progress and outcomes as required.
- Professional Development:
- Stay current with developments in the field of psychology through continuing education and professional development activities.
- Participate in regular supervision and peer consultation meetings.
Qualifications:
- Psychologist, Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience. Or same duration in psychological department
- Experience working with diverse populations and a wide range of psychological issues.
- Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency: Arabic is required.
